FDA Campus Loop Road Project

Construction of a new loop road for the FDA White Oak Campus and all associated sitework for the new campus buildings of CDER II, Southwest Parking Garage, CDRH, OC/ORA, and Building 1. Construction consisted of building & surface demolition; roadways; earthwork; building pad mass excavation; utility relocation for: electrical distribution, telecommunication distribution, waterlines, and sanitary sewer systems; storm water management piping and systems; and contaminated soil abatement.

Offeror's Role

Our role in this project was a subcontractor for GSA. The scope of our work included all roadway construction, utility installations, and associated site work including

  • > Clear and grub
  • > Building/Surface Demolition
  • > Erosion and sediment controls
  • > Excavation of approximately 270,000 CY
  • > Grading of all paved areas, building pads, hardscape
  • > New roadway and parking areas
  • > Utility installations including:
    • Storm Drain RCP pipe ranging from 12" to 60”
    • DIP water pipe ranging from 8” to 12”
    • PVC sewer pipe ranging from 6” to 12”
    • Electrical/Telecommunication ductbank relocation/support for new work installation
    • Jack and bore as required under existing facilities
  • > Bioretention Ponds
  • > Soil Stabilization of 24,000 SY for roadway by stone bridge lift for ML soil
  • > Multiple storm water management ponds and all associated culverts and structures
  • > Contaminated soil abatement
