Construction of a multi-phase new access road and bridges connecting the FDA White Oak Campus to Cherry Hill Road. Construction consisted of building & surface demolition; roadways; earthwork; utility relocation for: electrical distribution, telecommunication distribution, waterlines, and sanitary sewer systems; storm water management piping and systems; relocation/support of steam line and nitrogen gas systems; Security installations including fencing, barriers, and guard booths; electrical overhead and underground power and lighting; guardrails; bridges; concrete blast wall; earth berms; and landscaping
60% of this contract was self-performed by Total. The balance of the work was subcontracted to major trades including: Bridge Contractor, Electrical Contractor, Paving Contractor, and Landscaping Contractor.
The added cost to our contract amount was the result of Owner exercised contract options to increase the original scope of our contract.
Our role in this project was a Prime Contractor for GSA. The scope of our work included all roadway construction, bridge construction, utility installations, and associated site work including:
