WMATA Andrews Federal Center Bus Garage
Total
Description

Significantly expanding service and maintenance capacity for the capital region's commuter transit equipment, WMATA Andrews Federal Center Bus Garage is one Total Civil Construction's largest utilities installations.
Our part of the overall project scope includes clearing, earthwork, and utilities installations (storm, sewer, and industrial waste). When complete, the facility will include a 293,000 square foot maintenance, repair, and parking facility for the WMATA fleet with a separate fuel/wash building. Rainwater harvesting, filtration systems, storm drainage, sanitary sewer and industrial waste management...all of these require collaboration and coordination with contractors from other trades to ensure that critical path benchmarks are met and that quality standards are never compromised.
This project has been submitted to the U.S. Green Building Council seeking LEED Gold Certification.
